Pandora's dream

After humans received the stolen gift of fire from Prometheus, Zeus became angry and decided to punish them. He ordered Hephaestus to create the first woman, Pandora. She was beautiful, but Zeus created her to bring suffering to humanity.

Prometheus had warned his brother, Epimetheus, never to accept any gifts from Zeus. But Epimetheus ignored the warning. He was fascinated by Pandora's beauty, accepted her, and married her. Soon after, Pandora opened a jar that contained diseases and many other troubles. Everything escaped except one thing that remained at the bottom: Hope.

Pandora's dream is inspired by the myth of Pandora's box. Instead of focusing on the opening of the jar, this work explores Pandora's feelings and dreams before and after that moment.
